path of life, isn’t it?

October 4th, 2008

Marcelo,

Good to have you back. Not that you were gone. Even if you had gone you would still be here.

If we accept our way, our karma and everything that comes our way, and deal with it in a way that we see it as a challenge – is that the Buddhist way?

If I get hit by a car tomorrow and have to suffer in hospital, loose my job and never get my career back – would I have to accept that? Would that be right/wrong or karma? Does that only happen if you have done something “sinister/wrong” earlier in life?

Life is full of temptations. Which path do I chose? Which way should I go? Which job, which wife, which house? Where should I invest my money at the moment?

A friend once said, whichever path you chose does not matter because….you end up where you are supposed to be anyway. So the path is different, the time might too, but the goal or finish line is the same.

So, is Buddhism that simple?

Stop worrying, accept your path and you will get where you should be??

Wonder what you think?

Volker
