Marcelo Langer
Marcelo Langer graduated with an MSc in Forestry Science in 2000 and finished his MBA in Knowledge in 2004. He has a strong practical and theoretical background for business ventures and won some scholarships during his studies.Born in Brazil he also developed projects abroad, such in Leon, Spain and in Freiburg, Germany about accountabilities of the environment and sustainability of forest systems, e.g. about forests, markets and society.
Marcelo Langer brings over 15 years of consultancy and work experience in Brazilian and South American companies to Balamadana. Those experience and his continuous interests in sustainability of various systems are a great asset to this project. His almost 20 years experience of studying Climate Change are more up to date than ever and Marcelo contributed to national and international conferences and workshops.
Also, Marcelo was known as Rabjor, living as a Buddhist monk for more than 2 years but gave up that path as he realized that he could not combine his strive to be close to his family with the live he lived as a monk.
He just recently moved back to Brazil where he enjoys being around his family and working in management and strategy, setting up a new company.
Marcelo Langer still has a very strong relationship to and belief in Buddhism and is very keen on bringing his strong belief into this project and help others to be guided by this way of life.
