Volker was born 1977 in Germany and graduated from high-school with a second class degree in 1996 in Germany. After his military service where Volker Ballueder learned a lot about different leadership styles, he pursued studies in engineering and management in Darmstadt, Germany. Being a member of a student group he gained valuable experience in organisational, leadership and team-working skills. During his internship with Hewlett-Packard in 2000 in sales he realised that a more practical and international approach to studies would be benefitial for him. After one term in Bremen, Germany, where he wrote a paper on Hellinger's Family Constellation Theory, Volker Ballueder continued his studies at Aberdeen University and graduated with a 'first class' Bachelor (Honours) degree in mechanical engineering with management in 2003. During that degree he did an internship with Siemens Business Services as a consultant and wrote a paper on Innovation in the Oil and Gas Industry. Also Volker Ballueder worked in the University Night-Line team giving confidential advice to students; he also worked as a sub-warden in a 1000-student accommodation dealing with different cultures, diversity, behavioural and disciplinary issues.

In the summer of 2003 Volker Ballueder did his Master Practitioner in NLP and DBM (Development of Behaviour Models) with Sensory Systems in Glasgow. Whilst studying for his MBA degree at Aberdeen University in which his main focus was on Human Resources, Leadership, Marketing and Creativity Courses, he worked part time as a German assistant teacher and continued his work as a sub-warden. Volker Ballueder was also involved in delivering trainings with the Student Union in Creativity and Team-Working.  During his studies he wrote a paper on Emotional Intelligence as part of his MBA degree which he finished 'with commendation' in 2004.

Since 2004 Volker Ballueder has lived with his wife in London and currently works as a Business Development Manager in the Online Marketing Industry. In his spare time he enjoys sports, cooking, his family and a game of chess.

In 2006 Volker got more involved with Buddhism and studied various texts and researched about it. His main interest is to integrate Buddhist techniques alongside other techniques and theories into sustainable management in order to create sustainable business, giving it a holistic approach.

In 2007 Volker Ballueder launched his own consultancy for Personal Development, Coaching and Management Consulting. cb consulting applies an holistic approach incoporating Buddhist points of view.
